The National Center for Food Protection and Defense (NCFPD) is a multidisciplinary, action-oriented research consortium united to help make the nation’s food system less vulnerable to a biological or chemical attack.  Through research and education, the Center looks to safeguard the food system comprehensively, from farm to table, to reduce the potential for contamination at any point along the food supply chain and a catastrophic attack on public health and the economy.
