NTSCOE Offers Crisis Communication Training

 

Rutgers University offers specialized training for frontline transit employees, to help prevent the communication breakdowns that are persistent problems during transit crises.  This training will enable participants to communicate effectively with passengers and members of their organizations during a crisis, providing participants information on how to:  Identify the audiences to be addressed during crises; Assess the needs of passengers during crises; Recognize the effect that stress and fear have on communication; and Implement effective verbal and non-verbal communication strategies during a crisis.
